Padma Kanya Multiple Campus is a women’s college and was founded on 17th September 1951. The campus has a proud history of more than five decades and throughout the years; it has stood for providing quality education to female students, enabling them to combat every plight and issues which they encounter in their every-day life within the Nepalese society as well as around the world. The qualified teams of Padma Kanya have dedicated themselves to produce skilled and efficient human resources by providing quality education in order to face the challenges that are regularly experienced by the nation.
Padma Kanya Multiple Campus has a motto called "Quality Education for Women Empowerment". Living up to this motto, Padma Kanya Multiple Campus has been producing competitive and well qualified professional females throughout its history. Being the only Government Girls’ Campus in Nepal that undertakes the responsibility to empower female students, the college hosts a skilled, knowledgeable, and renowned faculty with enormous experience and offers job-specific professional degrees with practical implications on the real-time social environment. Moreover, the college also conducts seminars, workshops, field visits and other such research activities to build up quality leadership in women. PK Campus offers courses in Management, Science, Humanitarian and Social fields at the Bachelor’s and Master’s levels. Under Bachelor's level, BBA, BSc, BA Humanities and Social Sciences are taught and under master's level Management, Humanities and Social Sciences are taught. There is also an exclusive course that is taught in PK Campus, They are Master Program for Women (Food and Nutrition, Child Development and Gender Sensitization) and Women Studies (One Year Postgraduate Program). PK Campus has more than 50 spacious classrooms with four big halls in Ratna Deep Bhawan and two halls (Sagarmatha hall and Danish hall) in Maitri Bhawan that facilitate seminars and workshop programs. Besides this, the college also has a separate new hostel that provides accommodation for 200 students who come from outside of Kathmandu Valley. All indispensable facilities is provided to the students along with standard accommodation and hygienic food at an affordable price. The hostel students, however, must abide by strict rules that are regulated by the experienced female hostel warden.
Padma Kanya Campus also has computer labs with internet facilities where the students can do research, and a library with all the necessary books, and other materials for higher education. There is a canteen that serves healthy food at a reasonable cost and various sports fields/halls for extra-curricular activities during breaks and refreshments as well. Moreover, PK Campus offers field studies and workshops along with internship programs for graduates who wish to gain experience in their line of work. All these reasons make PK Campus one of the most esteemed institutions for higher education of women in the country.
